Bristol, TN—Morgan Reece and Ashlynn Mullis turned in two top 20-finishes for the NGU Women’s Golf Team as the Crusaders finished tied for sixth at the King University Women’s Invitational.
Reece and Mullis finished in a tie for 16th after the two day tournament, as both ladies shot a pair of 80’s on Monday and Tuesday. The two-day total of 160 was the top score for the women’s team.
Meghan Heald was the next best finisher for the Crusaders as she also shot identical rounds. Heald strung together two rounds of 86, giving her a 172 for a two-day total and finishing her in 31st. Rachel Huber shot two rounds of 93 while Sarah Dutton finished with a pair of 95’s.
North Greenville finished with a team total of 339, tying with Pfeiffer University. Tournament host King University took home the title while Converse College and Carson-Newman took home second and third. Queens and Erskine took spots four and five.
The Crusaders will take on the annual Patsy Rendleman Invitational on October 10th at the Country Club of Salisbury.
