Spartanburg, S.C. – North Greenville Women’s Golf wrapped up its second tournament of the fall on Tuesday with a 7th place finish at the Converse Fall Invitational.
USC Beaufort brought home the trophy with a team total of 297 while Newberry reeled in a second place finis with a 317. Converse, Emmanuel, and Converse (B) rounded out the top five for the tournament.
Ashlynn Mullis paced the Crusaders as her two-day total of 169 earned her a 21st place finish. Mullis shot an 84 and an 85 in rounds one and two. Rachel Huber turned in NGU’s only other top 30 finish as she carded a 173, returning to the clubhouse in 27th. Huber shot an 84 and an 89 in her two days on the course.
Morgan Reece finished the tournament in a tie for 32nd with a 177-total. Reece was NGU’s only mover in the field as she improved more nine strokes from round one to round two. Reece shot a 94 in the first round but bounced back to shoot an 83 her second time through. Sarah Dutton finished 36th with a total of 182 (89/93).
The Crusaders will be back in action on September 26th at the King Invitational at the Country Club of Bristol.
