NORTH GREENVILLE BOUNCES BACK FROM TOUGH FIRST DAY TO FINISH 7TH AT CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT

Greensboro, N.C.—The North Greenville Women's Golf Team wrapped up its 2014-2015 season on Tuesday afternoon with a seventh place finish at the Conference Carolinas Championships.

The Crusaders improved 17 strokes as a team from round one to two, shooting a 333 after 36 holes. The Crusaders sat in last place after the first 18 but climbed to 8th following the day two improvement. NGU stayed consistent in day three, dropping just one stroke to move up one more spot.

AnnaLeis Dibert led the charge for NGU once again. The lone senior shot an 84 and an 86 on days one and two, but cut her score by eight strokes in the third round to shoot a 78, the lowest round of the tournament for NGU. Dibert finished her final tournament as a Crusader in a tie for 23rd, the highest finisher for North Greenville.

Freshman Morgan Reece hauled in a 27th place finish in her first Conference Carolinas tournament, shooting an 89 after one round. Reece also improved in the later rounds, carding an 80 and an 82 for rounds two and three.

Callie Taylor accounted for a 30th place finish with a three round total of 254. Her best round of 82 came on the second day after 86's on the first and third days. Lauren Childs and Erin Campbell brought home a 36th and 40th place finish with a 264 and 278. Childs carded scores of 91/85/88 while Campbell shot a 93/95/90.
