Salisbury, N.C.—The North Greenville Women’s Golf wrapped up its final match of the fall schedule on Tuesday, after placing 12th at the Patsy Rendleman Invitational hosted by Catawba College.
The Crusaders were paced by senior AnnaLeis Dibert who finished 49th overall shooting a two day total of 167. Dibert added one stroke to her day one total on Tuesday posting an 84 in the second round. Morgan Reece finished just two strokes behind Dibert with a two day total of 169 after posting an 82 and an 87 in 36 holes. Reece placed 53rd.
As a team NGU held place in the rankings, after also finishing day one in the 12th spot. Callie Taylor led the day one charge for North Greenville after shooting an 81, a tournament low for the Crusaders. Taylor finished the first day ranked 31st, but fell off in day two dropping 10 strokes and finishing 59th. Reece’s 82 on day one put her in 39th.
Lauren Childs took the third spot for NGU and the 55th overall with a 170 after 36 holes. Childs improved in her second round subtracting six strokes from her day one total, shooting an 82 on Tuesday. Carline Reid finished the tournament 77th after shooting 102 on both days.
The Crusaders are now finished with the fall portion of their schedule and will gear up for the second half of its season which opens up on February 9th at the World Golf Invitational in Augustine Florida.
