WOMEN'S GOLF POST 8TH PLACE FINISH AT TUSCULUM INVITE
Greenville, Tenn.—The NGU women’s golf team posted an eighth place finish at the Tusculum Fall Classic, after two rounds of play on Monday and Tuesday.
The Crusaders were paced by AnnaLeis Dibert who shot a two day total of 158, finishing her in a tie for 25th. Dibert shot a 79 in both rounds for North Greenville. The next closest finisher for the Crusaders was Lauren Childs who was five strokes behind Dibert, shooting a 163. Childs shot an 88 on day one, but improved in round two, shooting a team tournament best 75.
The Crusaders shot a 656 as a team, 59 strokes behind tournament winner UNC Pembroke. Callie Taylor was the only other player for North Greenville to finish inside the top 40, shooting a 165. Childs shot an 84 in round one, but improved on day two, as she posted an 81. Morgan Reece and Erin also competed for the Crusaders. Reece finished 47th, shooting a 170, while Campbell finished with a two day total of 191.
The Crusaders will be in action again in two weeks at the Patsy Rendleman Invitational, hosted by Catawba College on October 13-14.
