WOMEN'S GOLF OPENS SEASON WITH 2ND PLACE FINISH AT CONVERS
Spartanburg, S.C.—The North Greenville women’s golf team opened up the 2014-2015 season with a second place finish at the Converse Invite hosted by Converse College. 

The Crusaders finished the first day in third place with a combined score of 333 through the first 18. The Crusaders were led by Annaleis Dibert on day one, who posted a team leading 81. Callie Taylor was one stroke behind Dibert on day one with an 82, while Morgan Reece, and Lauren Childs also both shot in the 80’s for NGU with an 83 and an 87. Erin Campbell finished Monday shooting a 93 in her first collegiate start. 

The Crusaders struggled slightly in day two, and added five more strokes to the team total, finishing the tournament with a day two 338. Dibert continued her solid season debut improving by two strokes and shooting at 79, which earned her an All-Tournament Team nod.  Also improving on day two for the Crusaders was Morgan Reece who shot a round two 81. Callie Taylor shot a 85 on day two, while Emily Campbell and Lauren Childs both shot in the 90’s with a 93 and a 95. 

The Crusaders will return to the links on September 29-30 at the Tusculum Fall Classic, hosted by Tusculum College.
