WOMEN'S GOLF PLACES 7TH IN CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT

Vass, NC – Competing in their first ever Conference Carolinas Tournament, the North Greenville University women’s golf team posted a 7th place finish overall out of 10 teams after a two-day score of 721.


After rain cut the tournament from three rounds to two, Queens University of Charlotte took home the team title with a total score of 637, a commanding 11 stroke advantage over runner-up Mount Olive College (648). Pfeiffer University (686), Erskine College (688) and King College (699) rounded out the Top 5.

On the individual side, Anni Dibert lead North Greenville with a two-day score of 88-85-173 to finish tied for 18th. Anna Padgett and Denise Shirley each posted identical scores of 92-86-178 to tie for 27th, while Regan Ouzts finished 39th overall with a score of 93-99-192. Paige Donaldson rounded out the individual scores for North Greenville with a total of 100-99-199 to finish in 42nd place.


With all players returning and a host of new Crusaders joining the fold in 2012-13, the North Greenville women’s golf team looks to continue its improvement and move up the ranks in Conference Carolinas.
