Lady Crusaders finish in 14th at Pasty Rendleman Tournament

Salibury, NC - AFTER A TOUGH FIRST DAY, THE LADY CRUSADER GOLF TEAM IMPROVED 4 SHOTS ON DAY TWO BUT FINISHED IN 14TH AT THE PATSY RENDLEMAN TOURNAMENT.

ANNA PADGETT FOLLOWED UP AN OPENING ROUND 87 WITH AN 85 FOR A TWO DAY TOTAL OF 172 (55TH) TO LEAD THE CRUSADERS. SHE WAS FOLLOWED BY DENISE SHIRLEY AT 86-94 180 (T71), TAYLOR THREATT AT 92-93 185 (74TH) AND RAEGAN OUZTS AT 100-89 189 (75TH).

"IT WAS ANOTHER TOUGH DAY FOR US AGAIN TODAY," SAID COACH PITTILLO. IT WAS A DAY WHERE THINGS JUST DIDN'T CLICK. I THINK OUR LADIES HAVE DONE WELL FOR THEIR FIRST SEMESTER OF COLLEGE GOLF AND SHOW ALOT OF PROMISE FOR THE FUTURE. THIS TEAM HAS ALOT OF POTENTIAL AND THEY WILL WORK HARD DURING THE OFF SEASON AND GET READY FOR THE SPRING. I AM CONFIDENT OF THAT.

BELMONT ABBEY WON THE EVENT WITH A TEAM TOTAL OF 591 (+15) BEHIND THE STELLAR PLAY OF MEGAN WALLACE WHO SHOT A CLOSING ROUND 66. "ON SALISBURY CC, THAT IS A AWESOME ROUND OF GOLF," SAID PITTILLO. IT IS GREAT TO SEE YOUNG LADIES DISPLAY THAT KIND OF TALENT. UNC-PEMBROKE FINISHED SECOND AT 599 (+23) WITH NEWBERRY AND PFEIFFER AT 625, WHICH WAS (T3).
