Greenville, TN – Just one day after posting its lowest round in team history, the North Greenville women’s golf team posted its new low score of 323 in the second round of the Tusculum Fall Classic to finish in seventh place.
The Lady Crusaders entered day two in seventh place but despite a strong showing by each player on the team, North Greenville was unable to move up in the standings shooting a total team score of 336-323 (659). Belmont-Abbey College took home the team title finishing with a two day total of 306-296 (602).
Individually the Lady Crusaders were led by Anna Padgett who finished with a total score of 81-77 (158) to finish tied for 18th while Taylor Threatt shot a two-day total of 80-85 (165) to finish in 33rd place. Denise Shirley tied for 35th place with a score of 87-81 (168) and Shelby Swatzell scored 88-83 (171) to place tied for 37th. Regan Ouzts shot a total score of 91-82 (173) to finish tied for 42nd.
The Lady Crusaders will be on the links again Oct. 4-5 in Myrtle Beach, S.C. as they compete in the Lenoir-Rhyne Invitational.
