Lady Crusaders show improvement

Anderson, S.C. – After finishing day one in ninth place, the Lady Crusader golf team was looking for redemption on the final day of the Anderson University Invitational.


North Greenville improved its overall team performance shooting a team total of 350, 18 shots better than the previous round. The Lady Crusaders finished the Tournament tied for eighth place with St. Andrews Presbyterian College.


“I was very pleased with the girls play today,” said head coach Jeff Pittillo. “We knocked a lot of shots off of yesterday’s round.”


Taylor Threat was the low scorer for North Greenville shooting a tournament total of 177 to finish tied for 30th in the individual standings. Anna Padgett was close behind finishing with a 178, good for 33rd and Regan Ouzts finished 34th overall with a tournament total of 179. Denise Shirley finished alone in 38th with a total score of 184.


“The girls understand our goal and are working toward them,” said Pittillo. “They know they have a lot of work to do and they are developing confidence for the future.”


The Lady Crusaders will tee off again on Sept. 27-28 in the Tusculum Fall Classic in Greenville, TN.
