North Greenville Takes 35th in Royals Cross Country Challenge

In their second straight meet with over 60 schools competing, the North Greenville Crusaders took home a 35th place finish out of 63 teams in the Royals Cross Country Challenge in Charlotte, North Carolina. NGU posted a total time of 1:42:46.20 with an average time of 20:33.24. 

Hope Whisman was the top performer for NGU once again with a time of 19:33.2 for 160th place overall.

Grace Valentine finished as the #2 NGU runner for the third time this season. She placed 241st overall with a time of 20:19.1.

Mary Abbott placed 250th overall and posted a time of 20:25.3. This is the third time this season Abbott has finished as the #3 Crusader.

Jadyn Slaughter crossed the finish line next for the Crusaders with a time of 9:01.7 for 314th place overall.

Not far behind Slaughter was Shelley Martin, who recorded a collegiate personal best time of 9:28.4 and a 318th place finish.

Cori Small took a 332nd place finish with a time of 21:29.0.

Rounding out the Crusaders were Paige Trent with a time of 22:20.8, Madeline Merrell with a collegiate personal best time of 22:26.8, and Katherine Cruz with a time of 23:32.4.

NGU will return to action in the Conference Carolinas Cross Country Championship on Saturday, October 26th in Mount Olive, North Carolina.
