Season Preview: Women's Cross Country Looks to Make Statement in 2018

The North Greenville Women's Cross Country program continues to make strides with three-straight top 4 finishes in the Conference Carolinas Women's Cross Country Championship. According to the 2018 Conference Carolinas Women's Cross Country preseason poll, the Crusaders are expected to do it once again as they have been predicted to finish fourth in this year's championship. NGU will rely on several returners as well as newcomers to make the 2018 season one to remember.

Key Returners

Kaleigh Roach missed last season due to an injury, but looks to have a rebound senior season. Roach placed 20th in the 2016 Conference Carolinas Championship.

Jadyn Slaughter comes off of an impressive freshman year, and will look to continue her momentum as a sophomore. She finished 34th in the 2017 Conference Carolinas Championship and 86th in the 2017 NCAA Southeast Regional.

Hope Whisman had a great Track and Field season in the Spring, and will look to carry that success over to Cross Country. The junior finished 18th in the 2017 Conference Carolinas Championship and 82nd in the 2017 NCAA Southeast Regional.
