WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY WRAPS UP SEASON WITH TRIP TO NCAA REGIONALS

Wingate, N.C.—The North Greenville women's cross country team wrapped up its 2015 season on Saturday with a 20th place finish at the NCAA South East Regional Championships.

Kaleigh Roach turned in NGU's best finish as she crossed the finish line in 33rd. Roach wrapped up her solid freshman campaign with a time of 24:42. Roach was NGU's best performer of the season, finishing as the top runner for the Crusaders in each of the team's six races.

Victoria Davies was the next best qualifier for NGU with a time of 26:09 while Hailey Willingham finished in 27 minutes and 28 seconds. Davies was clocked in, in 82nd place while Willingham turned in a 119th place finish. Amanda Ward and Rebecca Watson finished back-to-back with times of 27:50 and 27:52 while Haley Hardwick ran the race in a time of 28:33.

North Greenville finished with a team average of 26:48. "Today's race was a fun one to watch," remarked head coach Cam Stober. "Due to all of the recent rain, the course conditions were not ideal but our ladies battled and ran hard and they ran well given the conditions. I am so proud of the way these ladies have represented their school, team, and themselves throughout the season."
