NGU TURNS IN 11TH PLACE FINISH AT ROYALS CROSS COUNTRY CHALLENGE

Charlotte, N.C.—The Crusader women turned in a top 15 finish on Saturday afternoon, earning an 11th place finish out of 27 teams at the Royals Cross Country Challenge held in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Amanda Ward led the way for the Crusaders finishing with a time of 20:14, and a 50th place finish. Zoe Engwall finished just behind Ward, crossing the line a second later at 20:15. Engwall and Ward were the only finishers to finish in the top 50 for North Greenville.

The next closest finisher for North Greenville was Kelly Knutson who turned a 69th place finish with a total time of 20:39. Behind Knutson was Aline Ribeiro who ran a 21:33 while Hailey Willingham finished 13 seconds later with a time of 21:46.

As a team, the Crusaders finished with a total time of 1:44:29, a 20:53 average. NGU will be return to the track on October 25th at the Bulldog Stampede, its final race before heading to Concord, North Carolina for the Conference Carolinas Championship.
