WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY POSTS TOP FINISH AT WILL WILSON INVITE

Charleston, S.C.—The North Greenville women’s cross country team placed two runners in the top 15 and two more in the top 30 as the Crusaders raced to a team average 21:08, earning themselves the top spot among non-Division I teams at the Will Wilson Citadel Invitational on Saturday morning.


The Crusaders were paced by Zoe Engwall who earned a 10th place finish overall after clocking in at 20:23. Engwall finished third among Division II runners and 10th overall out of 59 total runners. Earning a top 15 finish for North Greenville was Amanda Ward who continued her solid freshmen campaign running a 20:33 5k.


Kelly Knutson finished sixth in the D-II rankings after crossing the finish line in 21 minutes and 10 seconds while Ellen Canniff finished 12 seconds behind. Also running for North Greenville were Aline Ribeiro who finished with a time of 22:13. Haley Willingham ran a 22:35 and Lauren Moses bookended NGU with a 23:15.


North Greenville will next travel to Charlotte, North Carolina for the Royals Challenge hosted by Queens University.
