Highpoint, N.C.-- The North Greenville women's cross country team was recently voted fourth in the Conference Carolinas pre-season coach's pole released Thursday morning by the league.

The Crusaders are coming off of their best season in school history in 2013, placing top five finishes in four of five races last year. The Crusaders took the top team spot at both the CIU and Will WIlson Citadel Invitationals. Coach Stober's squad returns four of its top five scorers from last season's squad, while also welcoming some new faces to the team. Aline Ribeiro, Zoe Engwal, Amanda Ward, and Haley Hardwick return to give the Crusaders a solid core while several freshmen are expected to make an early impact.

The Crusaders open up the 2014 season on September 5th at the Buffalo Valley Cross Country Stampede.
