WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY POSTS FOURTH PLACE FINISH IN CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Concord, N.C.—The NGU women’s cross country team wrapped up the Conference Carolinas championships on Friday evening, posting a top five placing, finishing in fourth place.

The Crusaders finished with an average of 20:24, finishing :21 behind Barton College which finished in third,  just under a minute behind second place Mount Olive, and 1:21 behind fist place King University.

Freshmen Monae Boyles continued her impressive inaugural campaign, pacing the Crusaders with a final time of 19:28, good enough for 12th place overall. Zoe Engwall was the next closest for NGU finishing in the top 25 with a 20:18 (21st). NGU’s fourth place finish on Friday gives the Crusaders their fourth top five finish of the season, including two first place finishes and a third place finish to open the season.

The Crusaders will adjust their focus, and prepare for the NCAA Southeast Regionals on November 9th.
