BOYLES SCHOOL RECORD LEADS NGU AT ROYALS CROSS COUNTRY CHALLENGE
Charlotte, N.C.—The North Greenville women’s cross country team turned in a solid finish on Friday, finishing 14th out of 30 total teams at the Royals Cross Country Challenge hosted by Queens University.
As a team, the Crusaders set a new school record in average time, turning in a 20:07 performance. North Greenville finished the race ahead of fellow Conference Carolinas member Pfeiffer University which finished in 18th, as well as NCAA Division I member Gardner Webb.
Freshman Monae Boyles led the Crusaders with a time of 19:12.5, setting a new North Greenville record, as well as a personal best. Boyles finished the race in 38th, out of 240 total runners. North Greenville also received a solid performance from Aline Ribeiro who finished 83rd, with a final time of 20:13.4.
The Crusaders will have a couple weeks to rest, before heading to Concord, North Carolina for the Conference Carolinas Championships on October 25th. Follow the link below for Friday’s complete results.
