NGU Women's Cross-country Team Placed 13th at Furman Invitational

Greenville, SC – On Saturday morning, the North Greenville University women’s cross-country team held the 13th place of the 16 overall DI and DII cross-country teams at the 37th Furman Invitational.

The Crusaders women were led by sophomore Anita Casey and senior Shana Sears. Lady Crusader Anita Casey finished 64th overall in a time of 23:00.47, while NGU’s Shana Sears was 84th coming in at 24:25.34.
Senior Ariel Seppala finished under twenty-five minutes in 5K race with a time of 24:47.06.
Lade Crusaders, newcomer Jill Forthaus, senior Erin Davis, and sisters, Katrina and Kasey Tatum, finished in top 100 runners in the race. “I think all the girls did great job as a team which is really important in this sport because you run as a team, not as an individual,” said Head Coach Micah Sepko.
Next up for both cross-country teams is the Wingate Cross-country Pre-Conference Invitational on October 15 in Wingate, SC which will be the last race in this year.
