Women's Cross Country competes at Furman Invitational

GREENVILLE, SC--North Greenville University's men's and women's cross country teams competed in the 2007 Furman Invitational against some of the stiffest competition in the nation. Among the teams competing were the University of Miami, Clemson (women), Furman, Winthrop, Charlotte, East Carolina, and Marshall. The Crusaders finished 18th on the women's side, while the men finished 17th.

Charlotte won the women's 5K event with a team total of 60 points. Clemson, Furman, East Carolina, and North Florida rounded out the top five.

The Lady Crusaders finished with a total of 534. Rebeccah Hecke was the top finisher for the women's team ta 123 with a time of 22:13.

On the men's side, East Tennessee State won the 8K race with 40 points. Charlotte, Winthrop, Marshall, and Furman rounded out the top five.

The men's team finished with a total of 543 . Samuel Ramos and Josh Bright finished 127 and 128 respectively to pace the Crusaders.
