Angel McGowan Named Interim Head Coach of Women's Basketball Program

Angel McGowan has been named interim head coach of the North Greenville University women's basketball program.  McGowan served as assistant coach of the program in the 2017-18 season, and was primarily involved with player development, recruiting, and academic support.


A native of Simpsonville, South Carolina, McGowan played basketball at Georgia Southern University from 2013-2017. In her junior year, she became the first Georgia Southern women’s basketball player in program history to earn Sun Belt All-Conference honors.


On top of her playing and coaching experience, McGowan is also a published author of two children's books, “STOMP Out the Bullying” and “We All Matter.”
