CRUSADERS' SEASON COMES TO AN END AT KING
Bristol, TN—The North Greenville women’s basketball team saw its season come to an end on Friday evening after falling to King College 72-64, in a post season, elimination game.

The Crusaders and Tornado battled it out for the final Conference Carolinas playoff spot. North Greenville won the previous meeting between the two teams earlier in the season. The Crusaders had three players in double figures, including Timisty Nelson who tied for the game high with 23 points. Alisha Hope score 22 for NGU while Tyler Powers finished with 10.

The game was tight throughout regulation. NGU held a slim lead for most of the first half. King tied the game three times during the period, and took a brief one point lead with 4:30 left, but NGU quickly regained its advantage and carried a one point lead into intermission.

North Greenville controlled the lead for much of the second half, and led by as many as seven, but the Tornado continued to fight. King finally made its move with 6:03 left on the clock. The Tornado embarked on a 25-10 run during the final six minutes of the game, cutting the deficit and giving them the ticket to postseason.

Brooke Johnson was the only King player in double digits with 23 points. Allison Bosse scored 9 for the Tornado and Mikki Oliver added 8 points. The Tornado finish the regular season with a 10-12 conference record and will take on first seeded Limestone in the first round of the tournament.

North Greenville finishes the season with an overall record of 11-15, and a 9-13 Conference Carolinas mark.
