Highpoint, N.C.—After a stellar freshman campaign in North Greenville’s inaugural season in Conference Carolinas, Courtney Friddle has been rewarded by being named the conference’s “Freshman of the year”.
“We are super excited for Courtney,” said head coach Jayne Arledge. “She is one of the reasons we have been so successful this season. She gave us a presence in the post with her rebounding and scoring.”
Friddle has been a welcome addition to the North Greenville Women’s Basketball team this season. A freshman from Greenville, South Carolina, Friddle earned a starting role early and flourished, averaging 8.5 points per game, and 6.0 rebounds. Friddle’s best output of the season was 24 points against Pfeiffer.
Her 6 rebound a game average places her second on the team behind Junior Krisceda Cotton. Friddle’s strongest night on the boards was in NGU’s semifinals loss to Barton College when she grabbed 15 boards.
