WALZ TAKES CENTER STAGE AS LADY CRUSADERS THRASH TIGERS OF HIWASSEE

Tigerville, S.C.—The North Greenville Women’s Basketball team tallied its second straight win on Saturday thrashing the Hiwassee College Tigers 94-35 in Hayes Gynasium.

The Lady Crusaders never trailed during the forty-minute matchup. Leading point getter for the Lady Crusaders was freshman guard Brooks Walz who posted 17 points. Walz was five of six from the three-point arch. Karly Stache also scored in double digits for NGU with 10.

The Crusaders scored 28 points in the first ten minutes of play. The Crusaders shot 50% from the field in the first half. Every player that saw action for head coach Jayne Arledge added to the point total. Anjelica Wilcox, Erin Gray, Raven Wamer, and Landrie Fox all tied for the team lead with five rebounds.

The Crusaders will put their two game streak on the line on Tuesday night at with a tip off set for 6pm (weather permitting).
