CRUSADERS POST 39 POINT WIN OVER ALLEN UNIVERSITY

Columbia, S.C.—Sophomore Karly Stache went 3 of 4 from the three point line and scored 13 points to lead the North Greenville women's basketball team (11-12) to an 80-41 win over the Yellow Jackets of Allen University.

Stache lead NGU in points followed closely by freshman Landrie Fox who tied her career high with 10 points. Also helping with the scoring was Brandy Smith who scored 9 points. Raven Wamer led the team with 6 rebounds.
The Lady Crusaders never trailed in 40 minutes of play after opening the game with a 13-4 run in the first five minutes. NGU continued to build on the early success taking a 19 point lead into the locker room at halftime (37-18).
The Crusaders kept their foot on the proverbial gas pedal in the second extending their lead to 32 with 13 minutes left in the game. North Greenville possessed its biggest lead of the game at 41 with 2:37 left in the contest before going on to win by a still impressive 39 points.
“I think we played well as a team tonight” says head coach Jayne Arledge, “we had a lot of team goals for this game and we accomplished a bunch of those. I was also happy to see we had 22 assists which shows we are playing well as a team as well.”
The Lady Crusaders will play one more game on the road against the eighth ranked Lander Bearcats before heading to Southern Wesleyan University for the NCCAA regional tournament which starts on February 15th. Tipoff for the Lander game is scheduled for 1:30 pm on February 13th.
