Sumter, S.C.—The North Greenville women’s basketball team traveled to Sumter, South Carolina trying for a third win in a row but lost to Morris College 70-50.
The Lady Crusaders were lead by Erin Gray who registered her first “double double” of the season with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Also scoring in double digits for NGU was Whitney smith with 10, and Nikki Wood who also registered 10 points.
“We lost a physical battle tonight,” said head coach Jayne Arledge, “we just didn’t play with the type of intensity we needed to win on the road.” North Greenville lost the rebounding battle to Morris 53-41. The Crusaders will next play Saturday at 2pm at Hayes Gymnasium on the campus of North Greenville University.
