Tigerville, S.C.—Whitney Smith led all scorers with 19 points leading the Lady Crusaders to an 84-60 win over Reinhardt College Eagles. North Greenville jumped out to a 7 point lead in the first three minutes of the game.
Reinhardt would take the lead at the 12 minute mark by one. NGU was quick to jump back on top and the Lady Crusaders would never look back. Heading into halftime, North Greenville led 42-27. The Lady Crusaders kept their foot on the gas leading the game by as much as 28 points with 4:33 left on the game clock. NGU went on to dominate the Eagles winning the game 84-60.
The 24 point win is North Greenville’s second double digit win in as many games after an impressive 50 point over Hiwassee College on Saturday. Other double digit scorers for NGU against Reinhardt were Karly Stache with 16 and Christina Carlis who had 11. Erin Gray was the leading rebounder in the game with 12. “It was a good team win for us” said head coach Jayne Arledge, “We did a good job moving the ball and making baskets.” The team will take the court again January 21st on the road against Morris College. The Lady Crusaders will return home Saturday January 23 match against Allen University at 2pm.
