WHITNEY SMITH'S 20 POINTS HELP LEAD LADY CRUSADERS PAST HIWASSEE

Madisonville, Tn.—Five players scored in double digits helping the North Greenville women’s basketball team to a 91-40 blowout road win over Hiwassee College in Tennessee.

Senior Whitney Smith lead all scorers in the game accounting for 20 points.  Other players scoring in double figures for NGU were Nikki Wood, Anjelica Wilcox, and Krisceda Cotton accounted for 11 points each and Christina Carlis added 10 points.

“It was a good win for us,” said head coach Jayne Arledge, “we played well and hopefully this will get our confidence as we head down the stretch.”

The win over Hiwassee snaps a four game losing streak for the Lady Crusaders. The team will return home for a game on Monday January 18th against Reinhardt College. The tipoff for the game is set for 6pm.
