CRUSADERS COME UP SHORT AGAINST EMMANUEL

Central, S.C.—Erin Gray and Christina Carlis accounted for 24 points together but the Crusaders were unable to pull out a road victory losing to Emmanuel College 55-47 in the NCCAA Classic.

Gray and Carlis lead North Greenville with 12 points a piece and both collected 4 rebounds. The leading rebounder for the Crusaders was Whitney Smith who collected five. The Crusaders were outscored in the first half by seven (28-21) in the first half and by one (27-26) in the second half.
“After playing four games in five days I think our girls were just tired and their legs were dead,” said head coach Jayne Arledge, “on the bright side we won the rebounding battle we just couldn’t get anything going offensively. “
The Crusaders will have a much needed week off before playing their next game December 1st at home against Limestone at 5:30pm.
