SIX IN DOUBLE FIGURES, MILNER'S 21 LEAD NGU WOMEN TO 115-44 ROUT OF KNOXVILLE

Six North Greenville (13-13) players scored in double figures and senior Amanda Milner led the way with 21 points as the Crusaders routed Knoxville College 115-44 at Hayes Gym Saturday afternoon.

Nikki Wood scored 20 points on 10-15 shooting, Karly Stache hit eight jumpers to score 18, freshman guard Whitney Smith tallied her first career double double with 14 points and 14 rebounds, Bridgett Smith added 16 points and eight assists, and Erin Gray had 12 points to pace NGU’s biggest offensive explosion of the year against overmatched Knoxville.

The Crusaders raced out to a 55-22 halftime lead behind Stache’s 14 points and 11 by Milner.  Every player on the NGU roster scored including Miranda Kee, who had a season high six points and pulled down two rebounds.

North Greenville left Tigerville immediately after Saturday’s game bound for West Palm Beach, Fla. where Coach Jayne Arledge’s Crusaders will play Emmanuel College (GA) Monday at 8:00 p.m. in the National Christian Collegiate Athletic Conference (NCCAA) South Regional Tournament.  The Championship game is Tuesday at 6:00 p.m.
