TIGERVILLE, SC--Amanda Milner's 22 points led North Greenville University to an 85-56 win over visiting Chowan University Saturday afternoon in Hayes Gymnasium. The Crusaders improve to 9-9 on the season, while Chowan falls to 6-16.
North Greenville received a boost from Jaleesa Gladden, who recorded 17 points and eight rebounds. Eboni Davis added 14 points and seven assists, while Whitney Smith chipped in 12 points for the Crusaders.
Najah Harris led the Hawks with 14 points and two assists. Jashonda Crawford added 11 points.
Debbie Wyatt hit a layup to score the game's first basket and the Crusaders never trailed once although the Hawks tied the game twice in the opening four minutes. North Greenville held a commanding 20-point lead at halftime.
The Crusaders out-shot Chowan 53.4% to 34.4%.
North Greenville will be back in action Monday evening at home versus Erskine at 5:30 p.m.
