Lady Crusaders top Converse 83-69
Amanda Milner recorded a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds

TIGERVILLE, SC--North Greenville University remains undefeated since returning from Christmas break after defeating Converse College 83-69 Wednesday night in Hayes Gymnasium. The third consecutive victory makes NGU 7-7 on the season. Converse falls to 2-20 with the loss.

Eboni Davis and Robin Warner each scored 15 points to lead the Crusaders. Davis added seven rebounds and dished out five assists. Amanda Milner recorded a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Debbie Wyatt and Nikki Wood added 12 and ten points respectively.

Brandy Williams led the Valkyries with a game-high 19 points and six rebounds. Ashley Arff added 16 points and nine rebounds, while Sydney Brown chipped in 13 points.

North Greenville held a 38-29 advantage at halftime. The Crusaders extended the lead to as many as 20 points in the second half, but Converse fought back to cut the lead to eight points with 6:42 remaining in the game. The Crusaders hit several key field goals down the stretch to hold on for the 14-point victory.

The Crusaders return to Hayes Gymnasium Saturday afternoon versus Brevard at 2:00 p.m.
