Lady Crusaders fall in opening round
Robin Warner scored a team-high 21 points

OAKLAND CITY, IN- North Greenville University fell 81-69 to Oakland City University Thursday night in the opening round of the NCCAA National Tournament. The Crusaders fall to 20-12 on the season, while Oakland City improves to 13-13. North Greenville will face Emmanuel College for the fourth time this season at 3:00 p.m. Friday. Oakland City moves on to face Central Christian at 7:00 p.m.

Robin Warner led NGU with a team-high 21 points on 8 of 14 shooting. Audrey Toscano scored 14 points and pulled in five rebounds for the Crusaders, while Eboni Davis and Debbie Wyatt each added eight points. Nikki Wood chipped in six points and four assists.

Karissa Walter led OCU with a game-high 32 points on 11 of 13 shooting. Kim Sliwa and Emily Miller each scored 13 points, while Chelsea Miller posted ten points.

NGU out-shot OCU 50% to 39.1%, but the Lady Oaks hit 12 more free throws than the Crusaders, having 12 more attempts. OCU led 42-37 at halftime.
