Lady Crusaders lose in Regional Championship

FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA- Southern Wesleyan defeated North Greenville University 79-72 in the NCCAA South Regional championship game held Wednesday night at Emmanuel College. Both teams are 17-11 on the season after the contest. The Warriors receive an automatic birth to the NCCAA National Tournament, while the Crusaders are hoping for an at-large bid.

Amanda Milner and Eboni Davis were both named to the All-South Regional Tournament team.

NGU was led by Robin Warner, who scored 15 points on 5-11 shooting. Warner also grabbed seven rebounds and dished out three assists. Nikki Wood and Audrey Toscano both scored 12 points, while Milner added ten points.

Keunna Thomas led the way for SWU, scoring 18 points on 8-17 shooting. Four other Warriors scored in double-figures. Sara Volmer scored 14 points, while Chinessia Lee added 13 points. Both Felicia Spencer and Savannah Parnell chipped in 12 points.

North Greenville will be back in action Friday and Saturday at the Converse Classic.
