TIGERVILLE, SC- Playing its final home game of the season, North Greenville University defeated Erskine College 72-59 Thursday night in Hayes Gymnasium in NCAA Division II women's basketball action. The win improves North Greenville to 16-10 on the season. Erskine falls to 4-18.
North Greenville never trailed in the game. The Crusaders shot 45.7% in the first half to take a 39-28 lead into the locker room. In the second half, the Crusaders kept rolling, extending the lead to as many as 21 points. NGU shot 45.5% from the field for the game, while holding the Lady Fleet to 29.9% shooting.
Eboni Davis led all scorers with 17 points on 7-9 shooting. Davis also dished out five assists and grabbed six rebounds. Robin Warner added 14 points, while Audrey Toscano chipped in 13 points and five rebounds. Point guard Nikki Wood finished with six assists and six rebounds.
Kristy Vaughn led the Fleet with 15 points on 6-15 shooting. Audre Timmerman chipped in nine points,
It was the final home game of the 2006-07 season for North Greenville, but the Crusaders will travel to Emmanuel College on Monday for the NCCAA South Regional tournament.
