Lady Cobras down NGU

BRISTOL, VA- Virginia Intermont drained seven 3-pointers en route to a 86-70 victory over North Greenville University Thursday night. The win improves the Cobras to 4-11 on the season. NGU falls to 6-9.

Michelle Shockley scored a game-high 17 points to lead the Cobras. Kendra Newman scored 15 points, while Ida Sammons and Tara Hanson scored 13 points each. Ana Medic chipped in 12 points for VIC.

Eboni Davis paced the Crusaders with 15 points on 6-10 shooting. Nikki Wood scored 11 points, while Debbie Wyatt and Amanda Milner each dropped 10 points in the loss.

The Crusaders will be back in action Saturday afternoon as they host Allen University. Tip-off is slated for 2:00 p.m.
