TIGERVILLE, SC- North Greenville University held off a late rally by Southern Wesleyan to win 94-90 Tuesday night in Hayes Gymnasium. The Crusaders led by as many as twelve points at the 11:47 mark before the Warriors went on a 20-5 run over the next six minutes to take a three point lead. After switching leads a few times, NGU took the lead for good on a pair of Audrey Toscano free throws with 2:45 to play.
Freshman Eboni Davis led all scorers with a career-high 28 points on 10-16 shooting. Audrey Toscano recorded a double-double with 22 points and 14 rebounds to pace the Crusaders. Nikki Wook added 10 points.
SWU was led by Amanda Chrisley, who scored 24 points on 8-10 shooting, including seven 3-pointers. Keunna Thomas scored 19 points, while Chinessia Lee and Savannah Parnell chipped in 14 and 12 points respectively.
NGU improves to 6-9 on the season, while SWU falls to 7-6. The Crusaders will be back in action Thursday night as they travel to Virginia Intermont College. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.
