Lady Crusaders rebound with 72-51 victory over VIC
Audrey Toscano led all scorers with 19 points

TIGERVILLE, SC- North Greenville’s women’s basketball team held Virginia Intermont to 27.5% shooting to down the Lady Cobras 72-51 Thursday night in Hayes Gymnasium to break a four game skid. Audrey Toscano led all scorers with 19 points on 8-15 shooting. The Crusaders improve to 4-4 on the season, while VIC falls to 2-6.

NGU held a 33-20 lead at the break and never trailed in the game. The Lady Cobras never got any closer than ten points as the Crusaders pushed their lead to as much as 23 points at one point in the second half.

Nikki Wood added 16 points for the Crusaders, while Beth Lowe chipped in eight.

Ida Sammons led VIC with 14 points. Whitney Nash added 12 points for the Lady Cobras.

NGU will be back in action Saturday at USC-Upstate. Tip-off is slated for 2:00 p.m.
