TIGERVILLE, SC- The North Greenville University women's basketball program received a boost last Wednesday when Samantha Frost signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Crusaders. Wednesday was the first day high school seniors were allowed to sign an early NLI. Frost is a 6'2'' center out of McDonough High School in Baltimore, MD where she played for head coach Tom Gizzi. Frost has served as a team captain for the last two years. As a junior, Frost averaged 15 points and 12 rebounds per game, earning her the nickname Double-Double. McDonough High School is one of the toughest private schools in the state of Maryland. Last season McDonough started the season 16-0 before falling in the semifinal round of the state playoffs.

Frost also has played seven years for the Maryland SureShots, an AAU team. The team has won five consecutive state championships and made six national tournament appearances. "We are ecstatic to have Sam," says Crusader assistant coach Kevin Nicholls. "She is a tremendous player and an even better person."

"Sam will step in and contribute right away next year and has the potential to be an All-American before she leaves here."
