Lady Crusaders roll past Converse

TIGERVILLE, SC- North Greenville jumped out to a 17-7 start over Converse College Thursday night in Hayes Gymnasium. Once the Crusaders took the lead early in the first half, they never trailed in the game. The Converse All-Stars cut the lead to nine with a little over eight minutes to go in the first half but the the Crusaders held on for a 44-27 halftime lead.

In the second half, the Crusaders went on a 14-6 run that spanded six minutes that put the team up by twenty-one. After the run, the Lady Crusaders eventually cruised to the victory of 78-61.

Sarah Giles finsihed with a double double of 12 points and 11 assists which ties her season-high for assists. She also finished with 11 assists against Presbyterian College on December 14th. Audrey Toscano lead the team with 13 points in 24 minutes of play while Sydney Brown led the All-Stars with 14 points in 29 minutes.

The Lady Crusaders improve their season record to 10-8 while the All-Stars fall to 4-17. North Greenville will be back in action on Saturday when they travel to Morris College. Tipoff is set for 2:00 p.m.
