Lady Crusaders compete in NCCAA National Tourney

OAKLAND CITY, IN- North Greenville finished in seventh place at the National Christian College Athletic Association National Tournament this weekend. The Crusaders lost their first two games, but came back to defeat Oklahoma Wesleyan on Saturday.

The Crusaders defeated Oklahoma Wesleyan 73-70. Amanda Milner led North Greenville with 17 points and five blocked shots. Audrey Toscano and Amber Rector scored 12 and 11 points respectively. Toscano also had seven assists.

North Greenville opened the tournament with a 80-48 loss to Hope International University. Toscano led the Crusaders with 12 points.

Friday's game with Trinity Christian College proved to be a thriller. The game featured 21 lead changes and ten ties, but Trinity came out on top when Barbie Heerdt scored the game-winning basket with just 15 seconds remaining to give Trinity a 58-57 victory. Toscano and Milner each scored 13 points to lead North Greenville.

The Crusaders finish 19-13 on the season.
