A native of Anderson, South Carolina, [Coach’s Name] is a former standout collegiate and professional basketball player who brings a competitive edge and deep understanding of the game to the sidelines.

He began his basketball journey at T.L. Hanna High School before continuing his career at Catawba College from 2014 to 2019.
During his time at Catawba, [Coach’s Name] established himself as one of the program’s most accomplished players. He was a key contributor to the 2019 South Atlantic Conference (SAC) Championship team and earned SAC Defensive Player of the Year honors. His performance also garnered All-Region First Team recognition. Statistically, he ranks among the best in program history—finishing 4th all-time in career points, 4th in career steals, and holding the record as the all-time leader in free throws made.

Off the court, Coach Taylor earned his Bachelor’s degree in Education in 2018, along with a minor in Communication, reflecting his commitment to leadership and mentorship.

Following his collegiate career, he continued to pursue the game professionally, competing overseas in Lithuania during the 2019–2020 season. His international experience further broadened his perspective on the game and player development.
He transitioned into coaching in 2021, serving as the assistant women’s basketball coach at Catawba College from 2021 to 2024. During his tenure, he contributed to player development, scouting, and game preparation, helping shape a competitive program.

Now entering his third year at North Greenville University (NGU), Jameel Taylor continues to make an impact by developing student-athletes on and off the court, emphasizing discipline, defensive intensity, and a team-first mentality.
