Softball alum Shayna Finley named to USA Future's Team

Former NGU Softball infielder Shayna Finley has been named to the 2019 Women's Slow Pitch National Futures Team, a team that is a part of USA Softball, one of the leading softball organizations in the country. Finley played for the Crusaders from 2014 to 2017 and is the program's single-season home run record holder with thirteen. She started every game of her freshman, sophomore, and senior seasons.

USA Softball is a softball organization founded in 1933 and is the national governing body of softball in the United States. The organization hosts softball tournaments throughout the country, but the organization's six national teams go on to compete in international competitions. Players for these national teams are chosen by the Men and Women's National Team Selection Committees.
