Akron, OH—North Greenville assistant softball coach Shellie Robinson earned player of the week honors from the National Pro Fastpitch organization for her performance on the diamond last week.
Robinson reached base safely in seven of her 11 at bats, finishing the week with a .636 batting average with an on base percentage of .643. Robinson also totaled three extra base hits to go along with six RBI, four of which came on a grand slam. She finished the week in the top five in nine offensive categories including slugging percentage, doubles, runs scored, batting average, on base percentage, home runs, and stolen bases.
Robinson plays for the Akron Racers, a pro softball team with the NPF. She helped lead the Crusaders to their first Conference Carolinas Championship last season as well as the program’s first appearance in the NCAA tournament.
