Dahlonega, Ga - North Greenville softball was eliminated from the NCAA Regional Tournament on Saturday after looses of 4-1 and 2-0 to Limestone College and North Georgia.
Brooklyn Fort and Amanda Coffrin each pitched three innings. Fort allowed two earned runs off of three hits while striking out two. Coffrin allowed one earned run off of three hits while walking one and striking out three.
Reilly's RBI double came in the second inning with two outs and Wagers at second.
Fort was charged with the loss. The Crusaders will now play an elimination game at 3:00 PM againt North Georgia.
Coffrin turned in another solid performance in game two, allowing just two runs on six hits. She struck out three batters during the seven inning outing.
North Greenville's struggles on offense would cost the Crusaders in the end. NGU had just two hits in what would be the final game of the season while stranding three. The Nighthawks scored the only two runs of the game in the third inning with a two-run homer.
The two run blast would be all starter Kylee Smith needed as she pitched seven scoreless innings with 10-strikeouts and just the two NGU base hits. Megan Johnson and Christie Reilly accounted for NGU's two base knocks.
The Crusaders finish the season 36-19 and 16-6 in league play.
