The Crusaders would take a 3-1 in the fourth inning after a Tori Freedman solo homerun, but a big sixth inning from the Trojans would give them their first lead of the game. Mount Olive scored four runs on three hits during the top of the inning while also using two NGU errors. The Trojans stranded one during the frame but lead 5-3 as the two teams headed to the final inning and a half.
North Greenville responded with three runs in the bottom of the sixth.
