The North Greenville softball team will look to take another step in the right direction on Wednesday when the Crusaders welcome Erskine College to Tigerville for a Conference Carolinas double header at Pepsi Field. The Crusaders are riding a wave of momentum right now, winning seven of their last eight conference games, including split with conference leading Limestone.
The Crusaders are now 10-14 on the season, and 6-6 in conference, rebounding after a slow start marked by weather cancellations. The Flying Fleet of Erskine are sitting at 8-12 overall, but third in league play with a 4-2 mark. North Greenville’s offense has also picked up in the past several weeks. Seven players are now batting over .300 on the season, including Rachel Glazebrook who leads the team with a .433 batting average.
Glazebrook is also the team leader with 21 runs batted in, followed closely by her catcher Amy Nagel who has registered 20. The first pitch between the Crusaders and Fleet is scheduled for 3:30 pm in Tigerville. Fans unable to make the drive can follow the game via twitter, or our live streaming broadcast.
