Tigerville, SC – On Thursday, April 19, Conference Carolinas officially released its All-Conference Softball honors and North Greenville University’s Rachel Glazebrook received First Team All-Conference honors after a stellar 2011-2012 campaign.
Glazebrook, who missed all of last season with injury, was the Crusaders most consistent performer on the mound and in the batter’s box in leading North Greenville to a Western Division title.
As the team’s #1 starter, the right-hander boasted a 12-3 record, while finishing second in the conference with 147 strikeouts and fourth in the conference with an ERA of 1.57.
At the plate Glazebrook finished second in the conference with a .397 batting average. The Greenville, SC native recorded 31 hits in 29 games including nine doubles and two home runs to go along with 15 RBI.
Glazebrook will lead North Greenville into the Conference Carolinas Tournament beginning Friday, April 20 as the #1 seed Crusaders take on #8 seed Belmont Abbey in Hartsville, SC.
