Charlotte, N.C. – The North Greenville University softball team dropped a game to Queens University of Charlotte 1-0 on Wednesday afternoon.
The Lady Crusaders and Queens were scoreless until the bottom of the fifth inning when Queens drove in the eventual winning run.
North Greenville outhit Queens six to two but left 13 runners on base in the game.
On offense, Kansas Wofford led the team going 2-for-3 at the plate. Kimberly Robertson, Sarah Griffith and Marielena Santos each finished the day 1-for-3, while Laura Hopper was 1-for-4.
Taylor Roof (5-8) picked up the loss after pitching a complete game, allowing only one run on two hits while striking out nine batters.
The Lady Crusaders will host Lincoln Memorial University in doubleheader on Friday, March 25 begging at 2 p.m.
