Softball extends winning streak to four
Kristyn Smith picked up the win in game 1 and the save in game 2

TIGERVILLE, SC--North Greenville University's softball team continuted its winning ways, extending its winning streak to four games by sweeping a doubleheader versus visting Brenau University Saturday afternoon. The Crusaders won the first game 3-1 and the second game 7-2.

Kristyn Smith picked up the win in the first game, while Krista Yeoman won game two. Smith was also credited with the save in the night-cap. On the day, Smith struck out eight batters, while only giving up one run.

In game one, NGU put all three of its runs up in the third inning. Lindsey Eargle singled in her sister Katie Eargle to start things off. Then, Allison Bailey dobuled in Eargle and Bridget Watson.

In game two, the Crusaders scored two runs in each of the third, fifth, and sixth inning, while adding one run in the fourth inning.

Brenau took an early 1-0 lead in each game before the Crusaders rallied to win.

NGU improves to 8-13. The Crusaders will be back in action Monday afternoon at home versus Milligan. First pitch is set for 2:00 p.m.
